Thread Rainbow
Since Needle Necessities is no longer going to be in business, I decided to buy a few skeins of floss. It helped that the threads were 25% off at my LNS ~ http://www.needlecraft-corner.com/
They came in the mail today!!
Halloween Fairy
....this is one I completely forgot to post a picture of when I had made her into a Cube-it. It is a bit large, but still pretty. She's posing with a few of my "cat friends."
Bluebird Box
I pulled out my Bluebird Box from Nan and worked on it a bit yesterday. I did the panel that will eventually be the back of the box. The top was already done. Two more sides and the bottom are all that is left to do.
I looked at the instructions for making the bluebird from the wool felt. It doesn't look too difficult; hopefully, when I'm ready to make it, I'll still feel that way:)

Unexpected Finish
Well, while looking through the new issue of Just Cross Stitch's Ornament issue for this year, I decided to do the one for Shepherd's Bush, Sweet Baby. Don't ask me why; I haven't done any of the others in this series (yet). It was simple enough (lot of color changes, however) and, I guess, satisfied my need for a quick finish. Here it is, done on Flax linen with none of the recommended colors~LOL! I used all Crescent Colors instead!

....in a Pear Tree
Well, this was one of my new starts. Finished and started it today! Yeah!! This is Little House Needleworks Pear Tree from the Just Cross Stitch magazine (2006, I think).
(this one counts as number two toward my next group of five finishes.)

Looong forgotten WIP :((
I did take her out occasionally and admire her. There is just sooo much more work to be done on her, that just thinking about it, I would get discouraged and put her away.
I actually saw the model picture of this one prior to its release on Teresa's laptop when she was at CATS the year this one came out. Which is why, of course, I had to have her!
Overall, there is quite a bit done. But, there is still plenty left to do. I worked on the upper right hand corner today for about an hour and a half just for the corner flower and two smaller flowers.
With my newfound penchant for finishing old projects, I pulled this one out and worked on it. This one will definitely be awhile before it's finished. Who knows how long I'll keep her out to play?:))
Here's a few more pictures...

It Counts!
it does, yes, it really does! Even though it's really little, it counts toward another finish! This is from The Stitcher's Hand; it was a freebie:

Edited to add: I stitched it with Crescent Colors, Auntie Dee on the new Lavender Wisper fabric.

Halloween Fairy
Well, filling in those wings and doing all the backstitch took a bit longer than I had anticipated.
And this makes finish Number 5!! Woohoo! Another new start!

WIP
Here's my Tuscany Garden, Part 3, in progress.
Still have a few more colors to stitch before I fill in the three colors for the background.
I think I will work on my Secret Victorian Garden for a bit....
(The more I look at it, the more I don't like my lazy daisy stitches; I think they will be coming out and be redone soon.)

Needle Guardian
Here he is:
I changed a few things on him. He is stitched on the new Lilac Wisper fabric. I used a lavender perle cotton instead of the suggested white and changed the beads to a green/blue Magnifica.
(He is number four of my finishes! Only one more to go for a new start...)

Needle Guardian
No, sorry, no picture yet. I don't have very much more to do; just the braid around the dragon's head and his belly. I am not going to stitch the nun's stitch edge around the design, since I am not going to cut it. I will probably finish it off with a sewn edge rather than the nun stitch edge. The actual stitching will more than likely be finished tonight. Once he's done, that's four finishes. One more....
Setting these little goals is definitely help keep me on track a little better. After the dragon, I may pull out my Halloween Fairy from Mirablia. She only needs her wings to be filled in to be finished.
Plus, I still have the rest of the fairies to do. I did complete the Christmas and Easter ones.

Freebie
Sometimes it takes a picture to make you realize you missed something.....(one little motif...)
I'll have to go fix that now, before I forget!!
This was a Dinky Dyes freebie from one of the needlework shows that my LNS attended a while back. It came with the chart and thread to stitch it. I thought I would try and see if I can make a triangular- shaped scissor pocket with it.

Closet Cleaning
Look what I found when I cleaned out the bottom of my closet where all my "future" projects are....
I made this several years ago as a banner/wallhanging. There are tabs on the top for a rod or dowel to go through to hang it. I decided to add a few extra buttons today. This is the top panel. Here's the second one....
, the third and fourth.
I only did four out of the six panels that were originally designed for this piece. Excuse the wonkiness of the hanging, as it has been rolled up in the bottom of my closet for a while. It really does hang straight. I will probably leave it hanging for a few days to get the bumpiness out. If that doesn't work, it may have to be pressed....

Bee Charmer

Another finish!! This is one that I started as soon as I bought it....but sadly, put it away right after only stitching a tiny portion. But as part of my new goal, it's another one from the WIP pile.
This is an Indigo Rose design called Bee Charmer.
***Forgot to add: if anyone is interested in just the chart for this design, send me a note in the comments section. I'll send it to the first person who would like it.***
