I ran out of one of the threads I need for the final section; I still have just a little bit left of the silver and one other color to fill in. Then it will be onto specialty stitches for this part.

Secret Victorian Garden Tryout
The tryouts for Martina's mystery projects usually are released prior to the main charts. She did release this one last year.....I'm just getting to the finishing on this one. I just needed a little something to finish and found this one:

Presents
This was a very nice Christmas indeed. My father always asks for a list of things we would like, and then hands it over to my sister to do his shopping! :) This year I actually had something, other than stitching items on my list. It was Jim Shore's Mini Nativity. Take a peek:

It just makes me smile to look at it! Thanks, Dad!
I also received a beautiful locket from my husband and sons, Sam and Mike. It is engraved on both the front and back. One side has "Annie" (our dog) and the other "Harmony" (my little girl kitty), both of whom we lost this month. Inside is a picture of each of them. As soon as the sun is shining, I will get a better picture. One of those presents I will always treasure.

Another Ornament
I tried a different finish on this little letter. I used a four-sided stitch around it (ala C.A. Wells) with small squares of cardboard with quilt batting inside.

Two more to go!

Christmas Ornaments
These are just turning out too cute!! I am making an ornament for my sons, Sam and Mike, for this Christmas. Here's the first one...(still has to be made into an ornament)
And the second one....
These little letters are a really quick stitch:))
Ooops!! Forgot to say that these were from the Prairie Schooler Christmas Alphabet booklet.

Reindeer
Well, now it at least looks like a reindeer....
So far, this one has been fun to stitch. I am trying to think of a way to finish it. If there are going to be eight reindeer in this series, it might be nice to group them all together. Hmmm....maybe flat folds?

Butt, butt...LOL!
Well, that is all that's really there....
this is one of Nora Corbett's reindeer....I just have his "butt" stitched right now. This one seems to be moving quickly (and as soon as I say that, it will slow down). I was in the mood for something "Christmasy" to stitch, so decided to work on this one. He is a nice change of pace from the mandalas.

...a new WIP...
Yep....just couldn't resist....too many pretty colors and the first part of the design is gorgeous! It's Chatelaine Designs, Hawaiian Garden. I've only got a small portion of it done. I decided to do this one with a few of the silk threads I already had and the rest with DMC.
Woohoo!!!
I received some lovely Christmas presents from Isabelle. Thank you so much! You just do not know how much they mean to me....here's a picture of everything...
and another of just the inside of the book that she made...
Just too wonderful!! Thank you, thank you:))

Finally....something is finished!
Here's a little freebie from the Cross Eyed Cricket, the s'mores mitten. I did not use the recommended fabric...in hindsight I think I should have backstitched the outine.

and another one!! This is also by the Cross Eyed Cricket Collection...the Second Day of Christmas ornament....

My Garden
Here's a little design from Shepherd's Bush. It came with the hand-painted mat. And the best part is, I got this one for half price!

It's not framed just yet. I put the mat over the piece to see what it would look like.

Done, done and done!!
Finally!! The Christmas stitching I was working on is finished! But, since it is a Christmas present, no picture:( I still have to do the finishing on this one, too. I am hoping that it will be done quickly!! Yeah!!!!
And just for fun...here's a picture of a cupboard from the Shepherd's Bush store in Utah that I noticed when browsing through their on-line tour.

I just think this is so nice! I love the beehive!

Miss Hannah's House
but I still have a bit more to do on my Christmas "project." Once that is done, well, it will probably be Thanksgiving. No time to stitch but after is another story! Of course, the first of the month, all the new parts of the Chatelaine Designs will be released. I do want to try and finish Mystery X when the last part for that on comes out. Maybe it won't be too large!

My Workshop
OK, here's my Just Nan Christmas Workshop, so far. I have stitched all the outlines for all the triangles, as well as the tip of each triangle. Since I wasn't overly fond of the elves that are in the original design, I looked through all my Nan charts and picked a few that I did like. In one of the triangles there is my Christmas sheep. Another has a Christmas present. I found a chart for a nice Santa for the third triangle. I am still deciding what I am going to put in the fourth one....an angel, a tree??? Anyway, here's the present
and the sheep...
Christmas Stitching..
No picture...but I am working on a Christmas project...shhh.....
...(thanks, Isabelle!) I did pick up my Nan Christmas workshop again, too!

Jardin du Roi
or otherwise known as MIX (Chatelaine Designs)....worked on one side of Part 12 last night. Here's the steps
and the little bit of border....
I forgot how pretty this one is. I really am going to try and work on it a bit. Now, I am not saying "finish" it....'cause as soon as I do....I don't want to work on it any more.;)

...out of hiding...
Here's my Mystery IX, which I worked on for just a little bit last night. I did finish one of the beaded scrolls. Now, there are only seven more to do...

This really is a pretty piece. Just wish some of those beads were done....

"Done and Dusted"...
as Jeanette on the Chatelaine Board likes to say. Part 11 for my Mystery X is done!! Beads, crystals and all....just waiting for Part 12 now. I have decided to name this garden in honor of my little girl kitty, Harmony. She has been having a rough time lately. Usually when I stitch, she sits on my lap. This garden is for her, so it shall be "Harmony's Hideaway."

This pieces is already 17" square. There is still one more part and the final size should be around 20" square...a big one:))

stitchin' and stitchin'....
No picture tonight....probably an update tomorrow when it's daylight. I have been working on my Mystery X diligently. Two corners of Part 11 are done, as well as the entire outline around the piece. I started on the third corner. I'm getting there....;)

Small start
Here's the beginning of Part 11 for Mystery X. Each corner will be the same for the rest of the design.

Mystery X - Another gate...
I really want those gates finished before the next part comes out on the first. Even if the corners aren't done, I'll be happy if the gates are completed....

"The Moose" and Tuscany
I worked on the outlines for Part 4 for Tuscany last night. I did manage to get the entire black outline done.
....and everything lined up just as it should the first time around (knock on wood)!
Just because he was there while I was trying to get pictures of Tuscany, here's another of my cats, Ranger, also known as "The Moose" (give this name by my husband because of his "great size").

....Frogs....
Yep...came to pay me a visit...well, I should say my Secret Victorian Garden. Have to take out part of a corner - the Midnight posts for one of the gates. I'll probably do that tomorrow, as I just need to put it aside for tonight. I think I'll work on Tuscany for a bit. I may even cheat a bit and work on Part 4 instead of filling in more of those Part 3 motifs. Part 4 is a little more straightforward. In the meantime, here's another of those gates (about halfway done). I did finish this one, so that only leaves me four more to stitch.

Tuscany Town and the Secret Victorian Garden
Sounds like a novel title, doesn't it? Well, here's the latest on these two. I haven't done too much more on the Secret Victorian Garden (Mystery X). Just managed to finish the lower left hand corner. I still have some Jessica stitches to fill in on the inner corner.

This is Tuscany, with one of the motifs filled in, as well as a corner motif with the beads. Now it doesn't look like I have done a lot of stitching. That's because I took out all the lazy daisy stitches and replaced them. Now, they look much better...
