.....it all began with one thread....

...drumroll, please..

Woohoo!! It's done! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. It's too long for one picture...

Pretty, pretty, pretty!

Look at the wonderful presents I received on Saturday from my friend, Isabelle, in France. Isn't the fabric gorgeous? The lace is so pretty in person The pins are little roses (I just realized I didn't angle the camera to show the roses) and are so nice! Thanks, again, my friend!! I can't wait to use all these delicacies!

Quaker Stocking...again....:)

Here are a few more WIP pictures of my Quaker Stocking....just about 3/4 of the way done.

....tiptoes in with.....

here's a little bit of the "surprise" stitching:

Aren't the threads, fabric and ribbons pretty? It really looks much better in person; this isn't the best picture.

And then, here's an update on my Ultimate Needlebook...I'm thinking of adding Quaker motifs instead of the large red flowers on the front....

~ Frogs ~

Yep...they paid my stocking a visit yesterday....Had to rip out half of one motif and still have to take out three stars.....So no picture today....maybe a picture or two of something else I'm working on a bit later.....

Almost Halfway...

...and here's another WIP on my Quaker Stocking. I'm still enjoying this one. I checked and double checked my colors against the picture shown on the chartpack. I thought that I had reversed the colors for the two brown symbols, but I didn't. Mine is definitely different not the same as the picture shown. But, the good new is, that I like it just the way it is! I especially like how the brick color shows up so much better than the gold.

Pink Bird

I've finished the CHS Pink Bird into an ornament. It turned out cute.

I know, I know, what's with the duck? My husband attended a firemens vehicle show last weekend. He bought this duck for me. He actually has a little fire extinguisher and ax on a piece of twine around his neck. Funny, huh?

Quaker Stocking

Here's update Number 2:
I'm really enjoying working on this. I replaced the gold color with a brick color instead. This color is used sparingly throughout the stocking. Almost finished the first page! Only two and a partial one to go!

....a new start...

This is Carriage House Samplings Quaker Stocking (the brown version). I am just loving how this piece is working up. It's done on 35 count Pearled Barley by Lakeside Linens. I really like this linen. I thought I would have a difficult time with the 35 count, but it's going along so nicely! I really don't want to work on anything else right now. (I just started this yesterday afternoon after a visit to The Stitching Post for the supplies!)

It's a Bird!

This is a design from Carriage House Samplings that I received in a Round Robin kit back in 2003. I'm thinking that it might make a cute ornament.

Major Stash Attack!

Went a little crazy! Take a peek....isn't that box just wonderful? It's for the new Drawn Thread design...

HS Hornbook

It's a finish! This has been a WIP for so long. I know I started it as soon as it came out (2005). Finished stitching it yesterday. It looks so cute! Now I'll have to do more hornbooks! This was a Limited Edition kit with Liberty Hill painting on the back.

Ho Hum....

I haven't been able to decide what to work on the past couple of days. This usually happens when I finish the stitching on a project...(the surprise one:)). I worked a bit on Shepherds Bush Glad Heart, then changed to something else, then changed to another one....

I looked through my "project box" that has things waiting for me to work on, and couldn't settle on one. Here's a picture of a favorite finish of mine. This is Jackie dePleisses' Bee Accessories from an on-line class I took with her through Elegant Stitch.

The Cat's Whiskers

Here's a new finish...started this one when it first came out after Market, then put it aside. Got a bug in my ear to pick it up and finally finish it! And, luckily, I had purchased the scissors months before that match the case!

In the Meantime...

Here's a picture of one of my recent finishes....it's a freebie from Shepherds Bush, "Bee Happy." I just love the way it turned out, from the black and gold twisted cord to the overall shape.

It's Done (almost!)

Well, the "surprise" piece I've been working on is almost complete. I ran out of my thread...:((
and will have to wait for an order for it to come it to complete the rest of my stitching. I only needed ONE more strand to finish it off!! It is a beautiful piece!

Finished!

LHN's "Sweet Little Berries" is done! I like the simplicity of LHN's designs. Now to decide what I'll do with it....frame it, probably not....needlebook.....maybe...small hanging....maybe....

I did work on one of my projects last night. Can't show a picture of this one, as it will be a surprise project for a group of people. However, I am almost done the last section and will be ready when the surprise is ready to be released! I have to order some ribbon for the finishing; just have to decide what color to use and whether I should buy Vikki Clayton's or Threadgatherers' ribbons.

LHN WIP

Last night I worked on my WIP of LHN's freebie, "Sweet Little Berries." Not too much more and it will be finished. I like working on LHN's in between some of my BIG projects. They do go pretty quickly. This was done with the recommended threads and fabric.

Finally!

Well, I've finally made the decision to start a blog. I don't quite know how well I'll keep up with it. This is my first time with this type of thing. This will be a place to share my newest stitching purchases, my WIP's and my stitching finishes. So to get started let me try to share a photo of one of my many WIP's. Welcome!!

Here's a finished one: This is Shepherds Bush "Tending the Bees" finished as a pinkeep!
