Gonna have to fix that!

Honest

really....I've been stitching....just no pictures to show right now. I just bought a few more Mary Beale charts so I have been working on charting them in a cross stitch program to make them easier to stitch. I also won a book on "The Bay of Evil" with Mary Beale's Sampler Wreath and a Sampler Stocking in it. The book also had designs from Teresa Wentzler and Sandra Orton in it. Not too bad!:))

Mary Beale's Mini Stocking

My little stocking! Too nice....it is only about 2 1/2 " by about 5", very little. I just love the way it turned out....guess this means only one thing.....more Mary Beale! :)) I'm thinking about finishing this the way the Medieval Angel Stockings are shown on her website, with a pleated silk ruffle around it...

Mary Beale...

No picture yet today....maybe a bit later. I started working on a mini stocking from Mary Beale that was in the School of Needlework class that I signed up for last year. The only problem I find with her designs are her hand written charts:( This is the Lord is my Shepherd stocking. Right - it has sheep! It is just turning out too cute! I am stitching it on 36 count Pearled Barley with one strand of thread. So far it is only about 2" wide at the top and about 3 1/2" long. I probably only have about another inch or so to finish it. I love how it looks so far...

Punching Away

Carol and I took a punchneedle class this weekend at The Stitching Post. Of course, we had to enhance our stash with some new things just for punchneedle. This was one of the kits I bought. It's Lizzie Kate's "Kiss the Carrots." It's not finished into anything yet, so the background fabric (the bit of white around the edges) is just folded back for now. A bit of warning....it doesn't take much to get you addicted to punchneedle, too!!

"Once Upon a Time..."

There was a girl, who loved to stitch. She stitched all day and night. But then the Finishing Fairy told her, you have to finish this design before any other. If you do not, you will be turned into an ugly frog who will visit every stitcher in the world....:)))

No, just kidding. Since my design from Isabelle is finally stitched and finished...I can show it. It is a wonderful, stupendous and gorgeous design. I present, "Once Upon a Time" by Isadarena.
Above is the front cover. Next is the back.
The inside portion, first is the scissor pocket and inside cover.

And finally, the inside, all the way open.

It's a Fob!

This is my fob that I made to go with Isabelle's design, Once Upon a Time (which hasn't been released yet). The ribbon and threads really do match, but since this was a scanned picture, it distorts it a bit. I just put my initial on the other side.

Ultimate Needlebook

Here's my front cover for my Ultimate Needlebook by Judy Odell. Since I scanned this picture, the colors turned out very bright. They are much deeper and richer in person. Also, last night, after looking at it a few times....I decided to take out the words.

I also finished the back cover (have to scan it later). It also turned out very nice.
Now onto the finishing of this needleboo!

....stash.....

More stash! Went to The Stitching Post today. I really only got the DMC's, the wool threads, the beehive and the gingerbread cottage chart there today. Carol brought me back the Carriage House Samplings Mermaid Punchneedle chart as well as the Lakeside Linen in 36 count Pear from her trip to Arizona. Kathleen brought me the Gloriana's that were missing from my Tuscany kit, the Mirabilia chart and the new Blue Ribbon chart. All in all, a very good day!
