Time for Tart!

Dancer....

I worked on Dancer again last night. It looks as thought I am skipping around all over the place on this one. I am waiting for some threads to arrive to be able to fill in all the missing areas. Did what I could on the little trees in the background, as well as the antlers.

Dancer

Well, with the two new reindeer coming out from Nora Corbett, it made me want to work on the ones I already have in my stash. So far, I have completed two. This is Dancer...only a WIP, but not too far from being done. I have to wait for a few DMC's to be able to finish the ribbon. For now, I will work on the row of trees and the antlers.

Vierlanden - Part 2

I finished up Part 2 last night....or so I thought. I just saw that I forgot the little heart motif on the right-hand side of the sampler when I was looking at my pictures. After adding that later, Part 2 will be done! This is the picture of Part 2 without the second heart motif:

"The Red Box"

For about eleven days now I have been waiting and waiting for this "red box" to arrive. Isabelle told me that it contained a special gift from her. I thought for sure it would be here Monday....Monday came and went - no package.
OK, I was sure it would arrive on Tuesday----starting to look for when the mailman is coming to see if he has my "red box." Nothing:(
Wednesday, I thought for sure, none of the parcels Isabelle has sent before have taken any longer than this....I must have looked out the front door for the mailman at least three or four times.....again...no box. :((
Yesterday, of course, when I was least expecting it....there was a knock at the door....the mailman!! the mailman was here!! But, more importantly, he was holding my "red box."!! I signed the receipt and practically snatched it out of his hands. Now my regular mailman knows that I get a few parcels and packages.;) This was a different mailman, so wasn't completing expecting my, shall we say, overzealous reaction to a box?
The Red Box

and of course, the wonderful gifts that were inside:

Gifts

Isabelle made the box, which holds the pincushion and the needlebook...just for me!! Everything is absolutely perfect from the ivory pincushion buttons to the little lace "M" initial on the needlebook. They were all wrapped in the blue fabric with a little gold ribbon. Wonderful!! I love receiving these special gifts. This one will stay on my night table where I can glance over and see it whenever I want.:)

Something a little different...

I had a piece of "panel fabric" from Kathy Schmitz with some houses on it. I have had it for a while and just could not decide what to do with it. But now, I have decided....I bought a tote bag pattern last week, as well as some new Kathy Schmitz fabric. Now the regular tote bag pattern does not require a "panel" type fabric. You can use a few coordinating fabrics to make it. Take a peek! I'm really happy with it,Tote Bag(b)

The houses are a bit brighter than IRL. Inside there are about six different pockets to store everything you might need. Here's another shot:

I can't wait to use it.:)

I Missed It!!

<
I knew that it was getting close, but didn't realize that I had missed the one year anniversary of starting my blog. It was on May 8th. I cannot believe that I have managed to keep up with it for this long! Well, Happy Blog-aversary to me!

Christmas Treasures

I finished the first part of my cyberclass. Yeah!! Time to move onto the middle portions now. I like how this one is shaping up! The box for this one will not be too large. The instructions say that the design will fit in a box with a top of 5" x 7".
