Sew Spooky

OK, OK....I am bad...very bad....totally neglecting ever single project I have to do.  Instead, I had to work on this one right away...I even had the perfect fabrics for it...Primitive Gatherings, Seasonal Gatherings, plus a few others.
It is called Sew Spooky by The Quilt Company.  Everyone who reads this blog knows that I am a serial BOM joiner.  If this one had been a BOM, I would have joined it in an instant.  However, only the pattern was offered from my favorite BOM shop (Shabby Fabrics) this time.  So I did the next best thing and ordered the pattern.  It came on Monday afternoon.  Now this will show you how seriously obsessed I have become with this one.
This is the first block I made.  That little quilt is on preprinted fabric.  You sew a backing onto it, and turn it inside out to make a small 'pocket.'  The quilt pole is then attached over the open portion at the top.  But there is a little 'surprise' under the quilt, when you lift it up...an embroidered spider! (Sorry, I neglected to take a picture of that part.)
Here's the second block I put together:
Cute, huh?  A giant pumpkin house!
Now the next few blocks are done as far as the machine piecing goes.  They all still need the applique to be finished, as well as any embroidery.
A haunted barn!  Too funny...check out the little chicken's costume!  The windmill next to the barn will have an embroidered spider web for the 'fan.'
And another one...(I like this one a lot!)

The ghosts still need some eyes, as well as the pumpkins to be appliqued.
Now for the last two that are ready to be appliqued...the witch and the crow and pumpkin!
So....have I been busy, or what?  :))

'Friends'

Thanks to a bit more inspiration from my friend, Anne Marieke, this new Annabelle block has come together.

Friends
Annabelle, Kittie and Sophie, all enjoying a happy day with a picnic.  I had fun making the teeny, tiny veggies in the basket....a few carrots and some lettuce, all happy bunnies favorites!

After looking at it once it was done, it does appear that poor little Kittie's expression is saying, "Where's mine?"  :))

Fernhill

I know..I know...where the heck did I go?  I have been having a few of those days where I have not been able to decide what to do next....so darn many projects...and definitely not enough time!  Usually when I am feeling overwhelmed like this, I work on something totally different.  That's exactly what I did!

I had joined Lynette Anderson's latest BOM, called Fernhill, a few months back.  I had barely started the stitching for the first block.  But...now I can say that Block 1 is done!  Take a peek:

Lots and lots of little tiny leaves.  I used threads that were a close match to the recommended threads, or the recommended ones, if I had them.  The only big change was for the leaves.  I used Threadgather's Silk'n Colors Autumn Leaves.

Onto Block 2, which has a very cute squirrel button.

The Adventures of Harrington & Hannah

Can you believe it?  It has been six months since the beginning of this fun block of the month by The Raspberry Rabbits!  Each new block comes out on the 15th of the month.  Yesterday,  I was in one of those moods where all the things I had to work on were not appealing to me.  Happens now and then...so a change of pace is usually what is required.  This new block arrived just in time!  Another very cute one, once again!
Harrington & Hannah - Block 6
I completed the block as recommended, with only one addition this time.  I added some cross hatching to the pineapple.  Now that there are six blocks complete, two rows have been joined together:
Harrington & Hannah - January through June
I am really liking this one.  Of course, my blocks and squares appear a bit crooked.  The fan happened to be blowing it out, ever so slightly, to make it appear a bit distorted.

As always, your visits and comments are very much appreciated!

Playtime for Annabelle

Here's the first look at what Annabelle has been doing.  Lots more to do for this one..a little sunshine to be added....a few more trees and flowers, coming in the next rows.

Trees!

Trees
Funny, lollipop trees and bushes....this is a test block for the latest Annabelle quilt.  I wanted to see how the colors and shapes would all work together with the blocks I have decided to use for this one.  Maybe six blocks this time, with a few of these fanciful trees for Annabelle's playtime.

AND....some good news...I am getting through the process of having my previous Annabelle blocks test stitched...working through all the problems and errors.  Hopefully, it will result in a better pattern to use.  I am brand new to all this, and really appreciate everyone's support.:)

'Washday'

Here's little Annabelle, with a bit of help from her friends, taking care of the laundry. :)  Thank you, Glenda, for the idea!

Bees!

First, I would like to say  "Thank you!" to everyone who took part in my poll. :)  The results will help give me an idea of what is a reasonable amount to charge for a downloadable pattern.\

Have you missed little Annabelle?  Don't worry.  She is still up to her little escapades.  Here's the latest:

Flight of the Bumblebees

She has put on her dancing shoes to twirl and spin with the little bumblebees!  She even has a pair of little wings!

Ballet Shoes
She is having so much fun dancing with all her bumble friends!

Bunnies

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah (May)
Not Annabelle, I know.  This is the May block for The Raspberry Rabbits free BOM, The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah.  I did change mine a bit this month.  Instead of embroidery for the flowers, I made them out of wool felt with a French knot for the centers.

Off to see what Annabelle is doing today!
