Addicted

Yep, I am coming clean....I am addicted.  To what, you say?  Stitching, quilting?  Well, those are not addictions (he, he)....those are hobbies!  Nope....Jim Shore....I just love his pieces.  When I saw this one, it, of course, screamed at me - BUY ME NOW!  So I did. :)  I originally had seen the male rabbit who carries a basket appropriately decorated for each season that you can change (Don't worry - he may still find his way to my house!) .  The girl bunny is new...you change her hats...little seasonal hats.  Here she is in her hat decorated for spring.  (Oh, and this is no tiny little bunny....she is about 18" tall!)

Whew!!

Very, very difficult to get the pictures I really wanted for this one.  Big -  humongous Happy Dance time!

The Reindeer Quilt Is Done!!  WooHoo!! A few shots...and yes, some of them are a little bit weird angles.....there are still a few crystals I want to attach, but they probably would not show in any of the photos any way.

Mind you, this quilt takes up the entire top of my kitchen table!

Above you can see the connecting ribbons and crystals I attached to each reindeer.

You can see one of the reindeer names that I quilted into the border on this one.   And ...my little verse for Rudolph.

I must say - cross stitching and quilting were not the easiest thing to combine...but overall, I am pretty happy with the end result.

Peacock

Yep, been holding out....I joined another one...Chatelaine design, that is. ;)  Here's my progress on Part 1 of the Peacock Garden Mystery.

Still quite a bit more to stitch....lots of beads, lots of specialty stitches, too!

Rhiannon

Rhiannon - the little "R" fairy in my alphabet.   Just a very small start for now.  I started at the very top center of the letter "R."

Pink

I have been feeding the birdies and squirrels, as I was feeling bad for them with all the snow we have had.  I had just put out some peanuts and birdseed about ten minutes earlier.  I looked out my kitchen window....and... A pink dove!...Well, not all of her(him)...Usually these doves are very drab brown and grey.  She(he) was sitting and resting on my bench.  Such a pretty mauve/pink color!  (By the way, it is usually the squirrels who are on the bench all the time!)

Whoooo??

My little owl, thats "who!"  This is the first block for my Baltimore Halloween quilt.  There have actually been four blocks sent out so far.  I just could not decide how I wanted to do this one...needleturn applique, blanket stitch or invisible thread outline stitching.   Well, I went with the invisible thread.  A lot quicker than the other two.  Plus those tree brances are really skinny and some of the pieces are only 1/2 inch in size!!

I did let the threads of the fabric fray a bit on purpose on the branches, to help give it a little more "creepy" look.  This is a fun quilt by P3 Designs.  It is done in the same fashion as a regular Baltimore Album quilt, but with a Halloween theme.  Lots of witches hats, black cats and spiders!

I still have to go over this one and trim up any loose threads, as well as erase some of my pencil markings, then a final pressing.

Thanks everyone for coming by.  I love reading all the great comments from each of you!
