A BIG CHRISTMAS FINISH

What?!!  I actually met one of my goals for this year?  Woohoo!!! I wanted to finish the top for my "The Night Before Christmas" quilt before this Christmas.  And...believe it or not...I put the last applique star on it yesterday!  Above is almost the entire top.  Here is the upper portion:

Night Before Christmas

It seems funny to be posting something that has to do with Christmas this time of year, doesn't it?  I (finally) redid my Block 2 for Night Before Christmas BOM.  I had majorly messed up my first attempt....don't ask. :)

Good news is,  it is done,  and I am currently caught up with at least one of my BOM's. It is a bit difficult to get a nice flat picture when our fan is blowing the block around!

                                      A  lot  of  work!  But - I am pretty happy with how it turned out (this time). ;)

Especially (this is for you - Anne Marieke!)  the little mouse's hands and ears!

A red Christmas tree?

Yes!  A pretty, red Christmas tree!  This is Block 4 for Night Before Christmas by Bunny Hill Designs.  It has been the simplest block to complete,so far.

Shhhh.....

"Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring; not even a mouse."

Well...evidently, this little guy did not read the story! ;)  Look at him in his little jammies. Too cute, huh?  And here is the entire block with some of the pretty fabrics from Le Petite Ecole  (OK, I didn't take French and looked it up...it means Little School).

A few changes from the pattern...I stitched his tail, instead of just an outline.  The letters were straight backstitch in the photos.  The pattern sheet showed the letters with a "font" style.   I used one strand of embroidery floss and a split stitch for those.
