A little bit of progress

I finally settled down and worked on my Victoria Sampler Where Stitchers Gather piece. I finished all the stitchers on the bottom band. ...a little close-up...

Three Stitchers

I worked on my little stitchers last night. I have three of the six finished. This section is a bit larger than the others, but it is mostly cross stitch. I have to go back and finish the row before this one (the one with the bargello). I think I'll finish the stitching on this row before going back.

Swans and frogs and border...

I just have one more little bee to stitch over one for the hardanger heart band to be finished on my WSG. I put a piece of fabric behind so that the hardanger and hemstitching would show a little better.


(the little scissor charm does hang straight, I just did not see that it was crooked before I took the picture.)

and a little more border (on the sides and the bottom leaf border) on My Needles Work. This one is getting very close to being finished. I just have that border to finish and fill in her apron.

(I am going to change the color of those little "floating" satin stitch blocks to the same color thread as the heart, which matches my fabric a little better)

I stitched just a bit more...the first line of the alphabet and the zigzag line below it. I really like the simplicity of working with the one color on this one.

The flower band is finished....getting ready for the hemstitching and hardanger!....and yes the year is supposed to be upside down. When the pocket is folded, it will be right side up.;)

Where Stitchers Gather

Almost finished Band 2. Have a few cross stitches to cross and three more specialty stitches to do.

Pretty, pretty

I got this in the mail yesterday and could not resist starting it. This is the first band on Victoria Sampler's "Where Stitchers Gather"(WSG) needlework pocket. I decided to use 32 count Pear from Lakeside Linen, with only one strand of silk floss.
