BUNNIES AND BIRDIES

I finished the four bunnies and two tulips for the next part in Sarah Fielke's Down The Rabbit Hole pattern.

I added two more large leaves to the tulips instead of the smaller ones, as in the pattern.  I also have decided to give these little blackbirds a try next to my Dresdens.

I think they will stay!

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE BY SARAH FIELKE

Yep, another new project!  This one has definitely 'ensnared' me and I have fallen down that rabbit hole.  I just signed up about a month ago.  I have finally caught up with the current parts.

The elongated hexagon border is the latest portion.  Here are a few close-ups of the previous portions:

all the parts, so far.

Glimpses

Between working on Love Entwined, I have been working on yet another freebie BOM.  This one is called "The Enchanted Garden" by Shabby Home.  The model is shown in some very pretty pastel pinks and greens.  I did start to make it in very similar colors.  However, since these are not my 'usual' choices, I was not too happy with the results.  So...instead I chose to use some of my Lynette Anderson blue fabrics, as well as an assorted selection of fabrics, including some Japanese ones.

As the title above indicates, for now, a few glimpses...

I'm still working on adding all the smaller patchwork pieces to the first four blocks, but once complete, a few full-size pictures of the blocks.

We have a finish!

Yeah!  This was one of the few BOM's  I managed to keep up with all year.  Shabby Fabrics Country Cottages BOM (patterns still available for free on the website!).  I started putting it all together late Saturday; messed around with it a little more on Sunday; and put the final border on this morning.

Ta Da!!

It is placed across the back of my sofa, since I didn't have anyone available at the time to hold it up for me.

Pumpkins

Don't know what it is...quilts with pumpkins appeal to me...the whole autumn theme I guess is a favorite of mine.  Needless to say, when I saw Bunny Hill's Pumpkinville, I signed up for a BOM right away.  I really liked the wool version (Pumpkin Hollow), but couldn't find a shop who was doing it, at the time.  This is the first time I have done a BOM through The Fat Quarter Shop.  You receive the entire set of patterns at once.  You are also to complete two sections of the quilt, which is the equivalent of three blocks.

Here is Block #1: (lots of wrinkles-sorry-,as I was too impatient to iron it before the picture).

Bunnies

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah (May)
Not Annabelle, I know.  This is the May block for The Raspberry Rabbits free BOM, The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah.  I did change mine a bit this month.  Instead of embroidery for the flowers, I made them out of wool felt with a French knot for the centers.

Off to see what Annabelle is doing today!
