TW Father Christmas Freebie

Father Christmas FreebieThis is a freebie by Teresa Wentzler. I tried several photos, but can't seem to get the white to not be "so" white. There is some whitework in the borders also.

The fabric that is shown is what I used for the back.

Father Winter

I've been wanting to stitch this one up for a while now after seeing a finished picture on the Teresa Wentzler Bulletin Board. Father Winter Freebie
Came out a little bit crooked~I had to scan it as the batteries on my camera are dying (again). I will probably finish it into an ornament sometime this weekend.:)

Here Be Dragons!

Needle GuardianMy Needle Guardian needlecase by Teresa Wentzler. This was stitched on Lavender Wisper Belfast with just a few changes, the color of the perle cotton and the bead color. I was so lucky to find a braid that matches the colors in the Dinky Dyes Aerlie thread that is used for the border. I also tried something new for the closure. I used these really strong little magnets. I put them on the inside of the fabric and cardboard. Here's a picture of what I did with the inside...Needle Guardian (inside)There are three small pockets that can hold your packets of needles or scissors or needlethreaders or just about whatever you like, besides the wool felt needlepages at the top.

Remember these? Image hosted by Webshots.com
by sttchalley Just a few of my little Pocket Dragons. :)

Needle Guardian

Here he is:Needle Guardian I changed a few things on him. He is stitched on the new Lilac Wisper fabric. I used a lavender perle cotton instead of the suggested white and changed the beads to a green/blue Magnifica.

(He is number four of my finishes! Only one more to go for a new start...)

Needle Guardian

No, sorry, no picture yet. I don't have very much more to do; just the braid around the dragon's head and his belly. I am not going to stitch the nun's stitch edge around the design, since I am not going to cut it. I will probably finish it off with a sewn edge rather than the nun stitch edge. The actual stitching will more than likely be finished tonight. Once he's done, that's four finishes. One more....

Setting these little goals is definitely help keep me on track a little better. After the dragon, I may pull out my Halloween Fairy from Mirablia. She only needs her wings to be filled in to be finished.
Plus, I still have the rest of the fairies to do. I did complete the Christmas and Easter ones.

New Start, Sort of...

Well, I made a decision on what to start. I've decided to work on my Needle Guardian by Teresa Wentzler. It's not really a new start...but there is barely anything done on it, other than two sides of the outer border. I'm calling this a 'barely started - new start.' :} I didn't work on it, since I didn't have most of the threads. I made a trip to Michael's today for the floss, and have started on it (again). So it is an official "start" now!

Honest

really....I've been stitching....just no pictures to show right now. I just bought a few more Mary Beale charts so I have been working on charting them in a cross stitch program to make them easier to stitch. I also won a book on "The Bay of Evil" with Mary Beale's Sampler Wreath and a Sampler Stocking in it. The book also had designs from Teresa Wentzler and Sandra Orton in it. Not too bad!:))
