Designed by Hatched and Patched Designs for wool felt.  These were surprisingly quick to make.

Ornaments

First, let me apologize to Anne Marieke. She sent me this gorgeous ornament as a Christmas present. Beautiful, isn't it? I totally forgot to post a picture of it when I got it, as I wanted to hang it up where I could see it right away. Thank you, thank you so much,
Anne Marieke!

Second, my first ornament of the SAL with Anne Marieke, Ineke, Isabelle and Giovanna is from Little House Needleworks. It is the first in their yearly series, called Fa La La. I have to find some nice red beads to attach, which are the final touch for this one. :)
(Plus, I may take out the red French knots for the mouths....as I am really not happy with the clowny look they give the little girls faces.)

Ornamentified

Ta Da!! Here's my tryout for Christmas Mystery 3, all done up as an ornament. I used some Artic Rays thread I had on had and twisted it with the floss to make the cording. It really sparkles;)

Another Ornament

I tried a different finish on this little letter. I used a four-sided stitch around it (ala C.A. Wells) with small squares of cardboard with quilt batting inside.

Two more to go!

Christmas Ornaments

These are just turning out too cute!! I am making an ornament for my sons, Sam and Mike, for this Christmas. Here's the first one...(still has to be made into an ornament)

And the second one....

These little letters are a really quick stitch:))

Ooops!! Forgot to say that these were from the Prairie Schooler Christmas Alphabet booklet.

Finally....something is finished!

Here's a little freebie from the Cross Eyed Cricket, the s'mores mitten. I did not use the recommended fabric...in hindsight I think I should have backstitched the outine.

and another one!! This is also by the Cross Eyed Cricket Collection...the Second Day of Christmas ornament....

TW Father Christmas Freebie

Father Christmas FreebieThis is a freebie by Teresa Wentzler. I tried several photos, but can't seem to get the white to not be "so" white. There is some whitework in the borders also.

The fabric that is shown is what I used for the back.

Father Winter

I've been wanting to stitch this one up for a while now after seeing a finished picture on the Teresa Wentzler Bulletin Board. Father Winter Freebie
Came out a little bit crooked~I had to scan it as the batteries on my camera are dying (again). I will probably finish it into an ornament sometime this weekend.:)

....and a partridge in a pear tree....

PartridgeTerrible picture, but my camera needs some new batteries. And this is #4 of my next group of five finishes....Just Nan's Day 1 from her Twelve Days of Christmas. I really do like this set of ornaments; maybe I'll have to set a new goal after this group of five is done....finish these ornaments (maybe two or three at a time) before any more new starts....hmmm...sounds like a plan. So, there are eleven left, let's say three groups of three ornaments, and then the final two....allowing myself a new start after one group of ornaments is done. Who knows? Maybe they will be done by this Christmas.;p

Unexpected Finish

Well, while looking through the new issue of Just Cross Stitch's Ornament issue for this year, I decided to do the one for Shepherd's Bush, Sweet Baby. Don't ask me why; I haven't done any of the others in this series (yet). It was simple enough (lot of color changes, however) and, I guess, satisfied my need for a quick finish. Here it is, done on Flax linen with none of the recommended colors~LOL! I used all Crescent Colors instead! Sweet Baby

....in a Pear Tree

Well, this was one of my new starts. Finished and started it today! Yeah!! This is Little House Needleworks Pear Tree from the Just Cross Stitch magazine (2006, I think). Pear Tree Christmas Ornament

(this one counts as number two toward my next group of five finishes.)

Merry Christmas!

Well...I was put in the Christmas mood yesterday by a friend who was going to work on a Christmas piece. I started this one...and finished it all in the same day! This is a Mary Beale Christmas ornament design stitched on 40 count Light Exemplar Lakeside Linen. I substituted all the DMC threads with almost all Crescent Colors, with just two Gentle Arts Sampler Threads.

This just turned out too nice (and tiny!) :}
