Another angel

I am calling this one 'Sweet Dreams.'  A little angel in her nightgown and nightcap with her teddy bear, of course. :)

A close-up of the wool felt teddy bear...I love how he turned out.

I did not have a 'cuddly' as a child.  My older son had a teddy bear.  A friend had given us a beautiful Gundt anniversary edition bear for him when he was born.  I put it in his crib.  Once he discovered it, it went every where with us.  He eventually had to wear an infant t-shirt to cover his worn belly.   I saved "Bear", of course.  Washed him one more time and hung him by his ears to dry, packed him away in a shoebox.  Several years ago,  I came across the box when sorting through some things.  I took the box and gave it unopened to my son, who was 17 at the time.  He opened the box...tears came to his eyes, and he exclaimed..."Bear!" and hugged him just as if he were two years old.  It was wonderful to see that childlike love in my teenager's eyes once more.

Angels

These were created last year....I had put them aside, as I could not decide what to do with the four blocks that were done.  Well, after sitting down and making a plan, this is what developed.  I am still going to make two more angels...one is in the works, "Sweet Dreams" with a little wool felt teddy bear for the angel.  I am still trying to decide between two others for the last one.

The original design for the angel is from the Garden Angel block of Shabby Fabrics "Blessings of Spring."  I have used the original as the basis for each one of these, but want to give credit where credit is due.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. :)

Quilt Me Club 2013

Here's a partial view of my bread basket block....sorry about the wrinkles...it's been done, but was put away for a bit...and, of course....there are those darn stray little threads!

This is another portion of the second installment for the Quilt Me Club 2013 from Nataliejo.

If you are interested, it seems that there are still a few places left to join in.

Small, medium and large

Since Friday, all I have been doing is making little dolls...2 mice and one sweet, little chocolate bunny.

Here is the large...another Mousie doll, approximately 8" tall.  She has her Easter egg all ready!

The medium, a little brown mouse, approximately 5" tall.  A little bit of lace makes a cute tutu. :)
And the small,

a sweet, little chocolate bunny.  You can see by the ruler, she is only 4" tall.  And now for the grand finale,
for the first time anywhere, the Tutu Girls:
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in this fun little venture.:)

Something small...

Only 3 1/2" tall, but too, too cute!  My little Annabelle Angel Christmas ornament.   I'm pretty pleased with how she turned out.

Easter

Easter is very early this year, March 31st....and guess what is finished in plenty of time?My Peek-a-Boo Easter banner:

(a bit crooked, but it will look straighter when hanging on its wire hanger).  Still needs a good pressing, too.

Here's a look at all the basket goodies...you have your chocolate bunny (of course!), a chocolate egg, a decorated egg, a carrot, a little tulip, and a peep! The basket is a pocket, so all the goodies will fit inside!
They can be stored  in their little egg pockets, as shown in the first picture.

The large chocolate bunny next to the basket, and, yes, he still has his ears.  I was tempted to make it appear as though a 'bite' had been taken....:))
