More Mousie

My husband, Dave, loves my Peek-a-Boo mouse.  Any time I am working on something and he sees me, he says, "Peek-a-boo mouse?"  I usually have to answer, "No." and he always seems so disappointed.  So I decided to make him a Peek-a-Boo quilt.  I am using the drawings I made for my monthly Mousie, as well as a few new ones.  I have been working on this in plain sight of him.  He asks me the same question again, and I answer, "Yes!".  However....what he doesn't know is,  it is for him.  I have one more block to applique (there are 12) to complete the middle of the top of the quilt.  I may have to buy some fabric for the borders I want to do....but he will have his "Peek-a-Boo Year" quilt top for Father's Day.  He hasn't seen the whole thing together, so there will still be a bit of a surprise.  Plus, there are a couple blocks he has not seen.  Have a peek at one of the new ones I drew....January, my little snowball juggling mouse:

Easter

Easter is very early this year, March 31st....and guess what is finished in plenty of time?My Peek-a-Boo Easter banner:

(a bit crooked, but it will look straighter when hanging on its wire hanger).  Still needs a good pressing, too.

Here's a look at all the basket goodies...you have your chocolate bunny (of course!), a chocolate egg, a decorated egg, a carrot, a little tulip, and a peep! The basket is a pocket, so all the goodies will fit inside!
They can be stored  in their little egg pockets, as shown in the first picture.

The large chocolate bunny next to the basket, and, yes, he still has his ears.  I was tempted to make it appear as though a 'bite' had been taken....:))

Busy, busy....

I have been working on a few 'little' things lately.  Here's a peek:

See the ruler?  I did say 'little.'  ;)  These are the items that will be going in a basket for my Peek-a-Boo
Mouse for Easter.  The chocolate bunny is my favorite!  But then again, I love how the carrot leaves turned out.

Peek-a-Boo February

A small quilt for one of the standing metal hangers.  Lots of chocolates for February!
These small hangings are a really quick project for in between the larger quilting projects I always seem to want to do.

Something new...and a little different.  I made this one to display with one of the stand-up wire hangers.  Introducing Peek-a-Boo December.

It's been really busy around here.  Not because of Christmas....I have been working on making the instructions for the nine blocks of Annabelle's Christmas.  I do know that I enjoy making the patterns and actual pieces a lot more than writing instructions!
