How Does Your Garden Grow?

Mine is finished through Part 2 with a little bit of Part 3.:) The design is a mystery sampler which is "Free" from Papillon Creations. To get it, all you have to do is sign up for the newsletter. A little close-up of some of the specialty stitches.

Specialty Stitch Close-Up

This is what I have stitched so far:

How Does Your Garden Grow-Parts 1 and 2

I am using 32 count Picture This Plus, Highland, with Thread Gatherers Silk'n Colors, Fairie Garden and Camouflage. I decided to stitch the two color version with the specialty stitches and some purple beads from Delica. There is an all cross stitch version that has six colors or one with just two colors.

Number 2....Shepherds Bush, Honey Shop:

The Sarah Tobias pincushion was pretty quick. The other two were pieces I had started some time ago, and just never completed the stitching. Yesterday I was looking through my stash for a quick finish fix, and found these two.

Stash and a little more Quaker

She's finally here!! Abigail Colby, that is.;P
stash 42408

I did not take a picture of my basket. I got the oval one; however, I am a little disappointed in the quality of the basket, considering the cost of this chart(s).

Here are a few of the charts I received from Elegant Stitch, as well as the Special Edition The Attic from Little House Needleworks, from The Attic. The charts are from Ewe and Eye and Friends.

Here's a little more progress on my SSG Quaker Box. This portion is the back of the box, with a little start on one of the corners.

Boxes

My Sampler Garden Box....I started on the construction of the actual box itself yesterday. It still has quite a way to go to be finished. I still have the final bottom to attach and then construct the lid itself. (don't tell....I haven't finished stitching all the accessory pieces yet! :p )Box Construction WIP

A Finish!

This is the Sampler Girl from Little House Needleworks. I finished her as a pinpocket. The braid is a metallic braid with the blue threads woven through it. It just matched everything so well. The backing fabric is, of course....my sampler fabric! And the color of the fabric was just right, too! I stitched her over one on Lakeside Linen's Bittersweet. Here's the front:

A little bit of progress

I finally settled down and worked on my Victoria Sampler Where Stitchers Gather piece. I finished all the stitchers on the bottom band. stitchers ...a little close-up...corner detail

Creeping Along. . .

Snail(a)

I think it's "spring fever." I just cannot seem to get myself stitching on anything for very long. This little guy is from Judy Odell's Sampler Garden. He is about all I have accomplished in the past few days that is worth showing. I keep flitting about from one thing to another....

Lost and Found

I was looking for something completely different and came across this design that I had stitched a while ago. I never finished it into the needleroll for which it had originally been designed. I decided to give my ribbon ruching (sp?) a try. Here's the result:

Pinkeep

I had stitched it with Six Strand Sweets instead of the recommended fibers. I used Gloriana's silk ribbon (Raspberry Parfait) to finish it off.

Three Stitchers

I worked on my little stitchers last night. I have three of the six finished. This section is a bit larger than the others, but it is mostly cross stitch. I have to go back and finish the row before this one (the one with the bargello). I think I'll finish the stitching on this row before going back.

Over one, anyone?

When the mood strikes, you have to go with it....when it is about stitching over one, anyway. I don't often "feel" like doing all the over one in the projects I have, and will skip over them and come back. So, the mood struck yesterday!:))

I worked on the mermaids, the lighthouse and the ship's flags on With My Needle's, Maidens of the Sea. Ship and Mermaids

Then...I finished a row of lettering on Happy Haunting by Shepherds Bush, as well as starting a new row!

My Needle's Work

Finally!! I only had her apron to fill in....and I need a strand of thread to finish my border. I had to frog my border, so came up a bit short with Hickory Sticks. I know I have some...just have to find which WIP has it!

Finished

Souvenirs de brodeuse

The lady is done! I finished her last night, started the little girl, and a little bit of the scissors (which are stitched one over one).

Silly Monster

I decided to use the octopus past of Shores of Hawk Run to make a silly scissor fob to go with my pincushion. octopus fob

More parts to come....oops...have to stitch them first!

Boxtop is Done!

My Quaker Garden boxtop is finished. :) My box will be a bit smaller than those using 32 count, but it will still be a nice size.

A branch and a border

A branch and a border outlining the box is all that is left to do to be done with the boxtop portion of my newest piece...A Quaker Garden Box by Carolyn Standing Webb for the Swan Sampler Guild. I like how the thread looks on this fabric. I am using Espresso Belle Soie (one strand) on 36 count Lakeside Linen Pearled Barley.

Sampler Garden

Since the finishing class for this is fast approaching (May), I decided that I had better get it done! I have a little bit more on the top piece (with the bunnies) for it to be done. But...then there are the accessories to stitch yet!! This picture is a bit odd, in that I folded the edges of the fabric where the different pieces meet.

wip 4 8 08(a)

I have a very nice deep purple trim that I am going to use to trim the box, instead of ribbon, plus I was thinking of putting a handle on the lid to be able to lift the lid off, too.

Something a little different

Well, since I am not stitching The Shores of Hawk Run as a large picture....here's my first installment and a hint as to what I am going to do with all those different blocks....a pincushion....a little bit different than most....but I like it!

block 12 - pincushion

I have plans to make a few other smalls with some of the other blocks/motifs and maybe something a little larger with a group of them.

Block 12

An abbreviated version of Block 12 from The Shores of Hawk Run. Once I complete this portion of the project, I'll show another picture as to why I shortened it.;P

A New Mystery

from Chatelaine Designs, of course! This is my first WIP picture of the new Mini Mandala Mystery I (MMM01). Part 1 WIP (a)

This is a smaller version of her large mysteries and will only last for three months. I think I may actually complete this one! I decided to stitch it on Antique White. I only purchased the three Thread Gatherer silk threads, as well as the beads for this one. All the remaining supplies I have pulled from my "extensive" inventory! LOL!! I tried to match the colors as well as I could against the DMC color chart.
