Butterfly

I recently joined the Weihenburg Stitching Contest.  This is a free chart, but you do have to e-mail and request it. This butterfly is my very small start on this project.  I decided to stitch it on 32 count Antique White Belfast with Belle Soie Rose of Sharon thread.  There is a possibility I might add another color....;)

There is plenty of bling on my Partridge in a Pear Tree by Nora Corbett.  Only the banner at the bottom to finish up!

Yeah!

Bunny Patch - finished....the quilt top, that is!
It has not been pressed just yet, as I wanted to give the fabrics a chance to get accustomed to their new homes.

"S"

Meet little Samantha..my latest little alphabet fairy.  Letter S of the series...my little fairy sits and awaits her letter to be stitched!  Very unusual design for the letter itself, this time....more of a patchwork type appearance.

Oh, and Bunny Patch is done!  Pictures later, possibly.

Busy

Hmmmm....I haven't been posting much lately, have I?  Well, here's the reason.   This is called Bunny Patch from Bunny Hill Designs (I know, again!)  This one was published in the April 2010 edition of American Patchwork and Quilting magazine.

I chose to do the "darker" version, rather than the original shown in the magazine.  This magazine usually shows you one or two different colorways for the quilts that are published.  The original is pinks and greens.  This colorway goes much better with a lot of the things in my house.  See?
(Funny how that lampshade reflected in the wall!)

I have all the borders pieced and ready to go.  I have just started adding them to the central portion.  Really shouldn't be too much more time until the quilt top is all done!

Block #4 of Bunny Hill's freebie series, Snowbound:

Friday, April 9, 2010

Well...

Where in the world have I been all week??!!  Stitching, quilting, moving furniture, cleaning...and best of all, hooking up my new - very fast - computer!  So, now a few pictures of what I have been working on this week.

Here is Chatelaine's Peacock Garden...my little bit of progress on Part 4.

Next, a finish!!  Rhiannon by Nora Corbett.
And the next block of Snowbound by Bunny Hill Designs was released the other day.  I am still working on that one!

Four

Hard to believe...but I completed Block #4 for Le Jardin.  I finished the final section with the bird and flower last night, just in time for when Block #5 arrives on my doorstep.
