The rest of the children

on that bare looking tree!  These three are from the top of the tree.
And these little cuties are from the bottom half:

To give you and idea of the entire tree (and, oops! I didn't realize I had cut off the top of the highest little girl):

A new mystery

Quiltmania magazine is once again having a mystery quilt project.  This one is by Reiko Kato and will have her little sunbonnet girls and boys.  The first block shows them climbing and playing on and below the tree.

My progress - the tree and one little girl and one little boy:

Looks a little bare right now...but there will be a few more of the sunbonnet boys and girls to come to play.

"Three cheers for the

red, white and blue!"  A few more peeks at Annabelle's patriotic quilt blocks.

Annabelle in her 'Uncle Sam" coat and tails:

Here's my version of a patriotic eagle:
(and yes, I do know those stars are crooked...but I used a star fabric and tried to choose the straightest line of stars.)

Thanks for taking a peek at my patriotic Annabelle. :)

A new year...

Happy New Year, everyone!  I hope this start of this new year finds everyone happy, healthy and looking forward to great stitching times! :)

Here's a start on Annabelle's new banner.  She looks the same, pretty much, as all the others.  However, she is quite large in person.  She is approximately 12-13" high and will be the center of a wall hanging I have planned.

Here is a picture of the "Parade", which is planned to be a part of my patriotic Annabelle quilt.  The mouse with the flag is one of my favorites.
