A whole lot of #580!

Quite a bit of DMC #580  more than half the skein...but I thought it would easier to fill in this portion, and then go back and do all the leaves with the lighter green and beads.  I did not notice it from the cover photo, but there are quite a few beads in the tree.

A little hope

Tree of Hope

My very first WIP for Mirabilia Designs Tree of Hope.  I like the tree in this design quite a bit, as well as the two girls along side it.  The little extra flowers on either side, not so much.  If I get to that point, I may just leave those off.  I know, I know....yet another new WIP....I just could not help myself....I have had the pattern for a week and could not leave it alone any longer.

Stitched on 32 count Flax linen with the recommended threads and beads.

Tessandra

Here's my finished Letter T from Nora Corbett.  Another sparkly one!  It's hard for me to believe that I have actually stitched every letter up until the T!

Onto the next one....U for"Uma!"

A little more of Baroque Gardens

This is  my WIP on the first portion of Chatelaine Designs Baroque Gardens.  I still have a lot more to do, but at least I have the top width (with the exception of the outlining border) established.  Wouldn't you know it?  I didn't notice the little piece of stray thread until after the picture.
Here's a little detail of the left hand side.  The design calls for four gold Delica beads to be placed in the centers of the green motifs.  I decided to try some of the larger Mill Hill beads I have left over from some of my Mirabilia/Nora Corbett Designs.  I used two of them in the center.  I also used just one in place of what was to be a gold crystal.in the rectangle.

Sheep

Have I ever said how much I like sheep?  Of course, I have...I collect them..I stitch them...Little House Needleworks Winter Sheep...minus the snowflakes....not sure I am going to add them (at least not stitched).  I don't know why, but I don't usually care for those random type snowflakes.  Maybe I will add a few of the Just Another Button Company tiny snowflakes I have.   I changed the white French knot eyes for two tiny black beads.   Stitched on my tea-dyed 32 count linen.

...and enough

OK...I knew it wouldn't last forever....trying to keep my post titles to one word was a bit more difficult than I thought it might be.  So, without further ado....enough of it.  I am back to making my titles whatever I feel like! :))

A few pictures for today...I have been working on my quilting projects the past several days.  Block 7 of Le Jardin....this is just a portion of it.

I have also been working on the second block of Friends for Christmas...no picture yet...but it is a large penguin putting a star atop a Charlie Brown Christmas tree while standing on a stack of presents.  Cute! It is almost done..picture soon!

And....look here...some of my little scrap pieces left over from my Le Jardin blocks....a little flower, which still needs two more striped hexagons to complete the circle.  It does look a bit odd right now, but the next color will help with the transition from the darker colors to the creams and reds.  I may just keep going around and around with the scraps I have just to see how big it becomes!

Gold

That's what I have been stitching!  Five pretty gold rings.  Two of them need a few large Mill Hill Treasures that I should be getting soon.  Now to finish up the right -hand side ribbon and the banner on the bottom.

And look who it is!  A bit early for the year....here is my Flying Santa block from the Friends for Christmas quilt by Lynnette Anderson.  This quilt has more of a "folk art" appearance than most of the quilt projects I am working on right now.  I did receive the second block, which is the large pengin with the skinny Christmas tree with presents.

Sheesh!

Where's she go, you say?? Busy, busy....that's all. I'm stitching away, but just have not taken any pictures lately. So here's a little update. I started the next one for Nora Corbett's Twelve Days of Christmas, Five Gold Rings. These smaller Christmas pieces are definitely full of bling! My WIP for today:

T H R E E !!!

That's right - three - count 'em....three finishes in one day!  There were just a few small things left to do on each of these projects. But....isn't it fun when all of a sudden - wow - three actual finishes!  Number one - my Four Calling Birds from Nora Corbett's Twelve Days of Christmas.

And two....who is that looking at those delicious...ahem....delightful birdies?  It is my version of Bunny Hill's new pattern Scooter Pie.

Now three ~  Block #6 for my Snowbound quilt.

Baroque

Yep...I signed up for this monstrous project.  It is a Chatelaine Design.  Normally, her mysteries/designs are for a year.  This one is for T W O years!!  Anyway - my little start on the top central portion of the design.

No beads or crystals added yet;  plus the entire background for this portion gets filled in with the pale green color!

Blue

Four little bluebirds, that is!  This is my Four Callling Birds by Nora Corbett.  A l m o s t done....a lot more beads... the only thing(s) left to do!  You can get an idea of how many more beads there are going to be.  Each branch has pretty much the same amount as those already finished.
