The Roof

...the second side is done! (not pressed, but at least it's done!) It is the same as the first side of the roof, with just a different color arrangement of the buttons.

ROOF #2

Now, the question is....start the finishing of the little house OR work on the smalls? Hmmm....well, I could do both...work a little on the smalls, then do a little finishing......;)

The Front

I finished the front of my Gingerbread House earlier yesterday. The last of the beads, however, did not go on until last night.

FRONT

At first when I looked at the picture, I thought the people in the windows were Santa and Mrs. Claus. The instructions, however, showed me that they are stitchers!

All that is left for the house itself is one more roof panel, which I hope to get finished later today.

Wandering Shepherd

Last night while looking through my Shepherds Bush kits and charts, I came across this one. It was almost done! Now why had I put it away? No clue...anyway, I stitched up the last four rows, attached the sterling silver shepherd and voila! It is done!

WANDERING SHEPHERD (b)

Oh, don't worry....I am still stitching away on the front of my Gingerbread House today.

"You can't catch me..."

I'm the gingerbread man!"

I finished Side 2 of my Gingerbread House Tuesday night...(forgot to upload the picture). This is the side with the little gingerbread boy and girl. Very sweet - pun intended!

....and a little more....

Tired of this one yet? Gingerbread House - that is!

Here's the first roof panel finished.

And the first side of the house.

Just to tease...

No picture....sorry...I want to finish one more side on my Gingerbread House before I take another picture. I did finish one side of the roof and started on one of the smaller sides...the one with the birdhouse and tree...and finished the cross stitching for the biscornu (lots more work on that one - all the satin stitches and Kloster blocks!)

So...keep a look out!

What's this?

Two posts in one day!! Oh, my!!

Well, I picked up my Sail Away that was framed by The Stitching Post (Baltimore) yesterday. I usually go for all the bling, lots of mats, fancy cuts, doodads added on, etc. But this time, I restrained myself and went with a simple frame. This was a new frame that The Stitching Post had just received. A nice deep blue green, just slightly distressed, with little medallions on each corner. You could pick how many of the medallions you wanted. It doesn't show in the picture, but each corner has one.

And a close-up of the medallions:

(It's really difficult to try and take a picture of a loong picture like this one....but then, my picture taking skills are nill...;)
