Mug Mats

It seems like you see them everywhere these days.  I made two for my little Peek-a-Boo Mouse.  Snacks included!

Peek-a-Boo February

A small quilt for one of the standing metal hangers.  Lots of chocolates for February!
These small hangings are a really quick project for in between the larger quilting projects I always seem to want to do.

The rest of the children

on that bare looking tree!  These three are from the top of the tree.
And these little cuties are from the bottom half:

To give you and idea of the entire tree (and, oops! I didn't realize I had cut off the top of the highest little girl):

A new mystery

Quiltmania magazine is once again having a mystery quilt project.  This one is by Reiko Kato and will have her little sunbonnet girls and boys.  The first block shows them climbing and playing on and below the tree.

My progress - the tree and one little girl and one little boy:

Looks a little bare right now...but there will be a few more of the sunbonnet boys and girls to come to play.

"Three cheers for the

red, white and blue!"  A few more peeks at Annabelle's patriotic quilt blocks.

Annabelle in her 'Uncle Sam" coat and tails:

Here's my version of a patriotic eagle:
(and yes, I do know those stars are crooked...but I used a star fabric and tried to choose the straightest line of stars.)

Thanks for taking a peek at my patriotic Annabelle. :)

A new year...

Happy New Year, everyone!  I hope this start of this new year finds everyone happy, healthy and looking forward to great stitching times! :)

Here's a start on Annabelle's new banner.  She looks the same, pretty much, as all the others.  However, she is quite large in person.  She is approximately 12-13" high and will be the center of a wall hanging I have planned.

Here is a picture of the "Parade", which is planned to be a part of my patriotic Annabelle quilt.  The mouse with the flag is one of my favorites.

A peek

I have had the drawings for another one of Annabelle's adventures.  A patriotic theme...flags, sparklers, even a bald eagle!  I was still missing one important element for the quilt.  It finally came to me...every patriotic celebration has a parade.  Annabelle and a few of her mouse friends are all in the parade.  For now, only a little peek...;)

I am very happy with how the flag turned out. :)

Now a few more drawings have to be finalized before they can be added to this new adventure.  Annabelle in her "Uncle Sam" top hat and coat with tails will be coming soon!

I do want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for visiting my blog and leaving some great comments this year.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I will also take this time to wish you all a very happy, exciting and stitchy new year!
