Dropped Everything

That's right! I dropped everything and started working on Victoria Sampler's Gingerbread House immediately....well, as soon as I unpacked and organized everything that came with the chart. ;)

I started with the little chimney (which is not yet outlined with the perle cotton thread):

Sorry about the funny angle of the picture - lots of little beads, big beads and buttons on this project!

Then I started with the House Back section:
It was then that I realized why I was having such
a difficult time stitching with the two strands of thread...my fabric was 32 count, not 28. I restarted the top of the roof with one thread...and I liked it and the coverage was fine.

Not too shabby for about two hours on Thursday and maybe a few more than that yesterday! ;)

My little gingerbread house will just be a wee bit smaller than all the others. As long as I do all the smalls on the same fabric, I should be good to go!

The fabric color is just beautiful and I think it is really not a problem if your house is a little bit smaller :-))
Have a nice Sunday.
