Special

As soon as I typed the word "special" it made me think of the Church Lady from Saturday Night Live..."isn't that special?"....lol:)) But it's really the word in my Lizzie Kate piece....
What is "special" is there is another reindeer/Rudolph!! Can you believe it? I think now the little guys are looking for me! Here's Rudolph's close-up. Isn't he "special?" Look how little he is...and yes, there is a red little nose, too!

Since I needed a little break from all the "big" projects I was working on, I pulled this one out and did a few letters and Rudolph.

I also wanted to take a moment to explain the end of my last post. I have been getting a few unwanted replies on recent posts as well as past posts. Sorry, if I sounded a bit abrupt...but I honestly don't want to be the vehicle to sell other's products or read derogatory comments. If I do not recognize your post, (most Anonymous posts) I will probably delete it. My blog is meant to be a "happy" place....stitching, quilting, pets....fun things. If a post makes me unhappy, I reserve the right to get rid of it! OK - time to jump down from that soap box!

Have a great weekend!

Christmas in July

I guess all the talk of the different Christmas in July sales and projects put me in the Christmas mood. Here's Needle Nick, a Limited Edition Lizzie Kate kit from a couple of years ago.
Alongside him is my progress on the new Merry Christmas Flip-its from Lizzie Kate.

Needle Nick & Merry Christmas Flip-its(a)

Still a way to go on Needle Nick...lots of filling in....that beard is all Wisper thread.....The kind of stitching that goes well with a DVD. :)

ABC and some traveling ;)

I have been working on everything lately. With so many new, wonderful projects from market, I just cannot resist working on those as well as some of my other WIP's. A few more words on my ABC Lessons by Lizzie Kate:

I also worked on my Little House Needlework Traveling Stitcher (look at her tiny suitcase!):

And...I am expecting more market stuff this week!

A little more

A little more of my sleigh....looks a bit strange right now, doesn't it? It's just that all those whites and blues are the packages. Lots and lots of color changes going on in there, for sure.

The Sleigh WIP(k)

and then, a little more on my ABC Lessons (sorry, I didn't press it this time):

Totally Addicting!

I started working on this yesterday afternoon, and just could not put it down. I guess it's just what the doctor ordered...something small, does not require too much concentration, and with a great result!

ABC Lessons(b)

Ooops!! Forgot to say - this is one of Lizzie Kate's newest designs just released at the Nashville Market - ABC Lessons.

Punching Away

Carol and I took a punchneedle class this weekend at The Stitching Post. Of course, we had to enhance our stash with some new things just for punchneedle. This was one of the kits I bought. It's Lizzie Kate's "Kiss the Carrots." It's not finished into anything yet, so the background fabric (the bit of white around the edges) is just folded back for now. A bit of warning....it doesn't take much to get you addicted to punchneedle, too!!
