Nightey, Night

Night, Night
Little Annabelle has had a very busy week.  Poor thing, she can barely keep her eyes open.  Time for nightey-night, Annabelle.

Annabelle always sleeps with her favorite dollie.

Night, night, little Annabelle.  Tomorrow is another day full of adventure. :)

Ready for more?

I have been a little busy with Annabelle (again);)  Since the weather here has been so windy and rainy, I thought Annabelle with a cute little raincoat and boots would be appropriate.  Here she is on her blustery day.

Annabelle has been so much fun to create.  There are still a few more ideas rattling around inside my head for this little bunny.  But....one of the ideas (thank you, Anne Marieke!) was that Annabelle should have a little brother or sister.
Here we have Annabelle's little brother, Georgie.  Catch a peek at him before he whizzes on by!

Thanks for stopping by and joining me on this crazy, little adventure with Annabelle and Georgie.:))

I cannot help myself!

Annabelle has become an addiction for me this past week.  As soon as one look into her life is done, she is waitng for me to complete another!  (She has even kept me up at night, figuring out where she wants to go next!)  I do have to say, in her defense, I am thoroughly enjoying each and every one of her visits!

Today Annabelle wanted to show you her favorite playtime toy.  So have a peek at Annabelle in her rolled-up coveralls ready for a rough and tumble time.

The question has been asked as to whether or not I plan to market Annabelle.  I am seriously considering it, but haven't a clue as to how to proceed.  It looks as though a bit of research is in my and Annabelle's future.

Thank you all for your wonderful and supportive comments.  It is so great to see such a nice response to Annabelle.

Love Blossoms

It seems this little girl has captured me!  Here is little Annabelle with a few of her 'Love Blossoms.'

Annabelle - Love Blossoms

Annabelle has been so much fun to help with her outfits and activities.
I do have a few more ideas for her on the way.  If you would like to do so, any suggestions are welcome!

........Drumroll, please.......

I have been playing around with a new idea I had.  What follows is the result of yet another tiny, little sketch.  I do intend to make more of this little girl (and maybe even add a boy), since I had so much fun creating this one.   Again....drumroll, please.....Introducing:  Annabelle.

Here is another shot of her little boat:

I am not, however, going to post the entire picture here of Annabelle.  Since she is my new idea, I do want to try and protect her.  After all, she is my new baby!

Calla Lilies

Here it is...after quite a bit of doing and redoing, my Calla Lilies block for the Forget Me Not BOM by Esther Aliu.

I am using this free BOM to experiment with different things.  For this block I used some Prisma pencils around the center and edges of the flowers.  I also used a bit of green stencil paint aound the centers.  There is wool felt for the stamens, as well as little gold beads.  I also used some burgundy wool felt for the vines extending from the center.
I decided not to add any more stitching to the leaves as the fabric was such a large pattern and seemed quite effective without anything additional.  The little fronds are done with Valdani floss in stem and straight stitch with little brownish red beads added on the ends.

I think that about covers all the 'extras' for this block.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. :))

Picture Day!

Lots of pictures today!  First, a few small cross stitch pieces.  This is The Cross-Eyed Cricket's Sophie's Mitten.
Here are two of Shepherd's Bush small Halloween designs.  Each one had a little sheep; how could I resist?

We are already on Block 4 of The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah (a free BOM) by The Raspberry Rabbits.  This is another very nice block for April:

Next, two blocks from my Blessings of Summer BOM from Shabby Fabrics, Block 7 and 8:
I love this little red wagon.
More sunflowers!\

And, last but definitely not least, Block 5 of Berries and Bluebirds by Gail Pan.
Whew!  Luckily, I was able to upload my pictures today with no problem.  What's next?  Esther Aliu's next flower block for her free BOM....the Great Pumpkin (I am a month behind on that one), Merry, Merry Snowmen and another one for Raining Cats and Dogs....all still waiting, and each one calling louder than the last!

Playing

You know how it is....you have a ..(ahem) few projects to work on, but not one happens to appeal to you at the moment.  Tomorrow is another day for those....

For some reason, I wanted to try out some new fabrics I had purchased.  Wonderful, beautiful Japanese fabrics (insert swoon here).  I recently found a website that handles a large variety of those gorgeous taupe fabrics from Japan.  One World Fabrics.  Steve is the owner (who was very pleasant), with whom I spoke on the phone.  I had had a problem with the shopping cart on the website, so called.  I have to say that I received my order within three days, and am more than satisfied with the fabrics and the quality of service. :)) Anyway, I digress.

My Tweets, another free BOM, appealed to me from the very beginning.  However, I am not one to generally use those bright, colorful fabrics.  It's not that I do not like projects that I have seen done with them, but I have difficulty picking and choosing to make them work for me.  Then I saw this:

Gorgeous, isn't it?  All those wonderful Japanese fabrics. mmmmm....
After a little playtime with my fabrics, I have this:
**  After coming back and looking at the picture again, I realized that the bird's tail is supposed to be under the wing and on top of the body.  I have changed it, which makes it look much nicer.  **

Quite different than the one above, but so far, I like it.  I'm not sure what will happen with the rest of the block...stay tuned. :)

In My Garden

Ta Da!! The first three blocks of In My Garden by Hatched and Patched Designs are done!
Each of these blocks are 20" by 20".  The entire quilt is going to be HUGE!  The colors I have chosen are very different from the more pastel hues of the original.

I generally work on this one as the mood strikes.  Lots and lots of bits and pieces for each block.
Block 4 has some ladybugs!  Very unusual looking little gals, but fun.

Quilt Me Club

Quilt Me Club

Yep!  A three-month project, this time.  Of course, I love the first part....it has a sheep and stars!

This is just a part of the main block.
Here's the rest:
Too cute, huh?
and a few of the other smaller blocks....
I still have one more to complete for this month's portion.  Now I can hardly wait to see what the next part brings!
