I am weak....so weak...
yes....I know....how many more can she have, you say? WIP's, that is.....
I have been wanting to work on a sampler by Brenda Keyes (The Sampler Company) for a long time. Well, yesterday I got a little push....yep...started another one. The Plymouth Sampler:![]()
I pulled the threads for it (changing most of the DMC colors to NPI's) and I had a piece of 32 count Lakeside Linen in Maritime White that was just the perfect size. I decided to only use one thread of NPI to give it a more delicate look.
Not too much to show yet...but I wanted to work from the top center down to give myself some areas to work outward. You can see the year 1620 in Roman numerals. :) I'll finish crossing those stitches in the border once I get a little more of the alphabet done.
Plus - a little quilting update:
Not the best picture or angle, but I was trying to hurry before the batteries died on my camera.
Thanks for coming by! :O)

Roses and Chocolate

No, no, it's not an anniversary or anything. This is the incredible design and finishing piece that Isabelle sent to me. It is a stitcher's case. Now the name - Roses (she used Dried Roses thread) and Chocolate (chocolate colored fabric for the finishing). How gorgeous is this? The finishing is totally unique, too!
Here's the inside with the needle page and the pinkeep:
Inside
The case has a little secret, too! I almost missed it:
Isabelle's stitching is fabulous! Her finishing is impeccable! Lucky, lucky me!!! I have it sitting out right in front of me wherever I am, so that I can constantly admire her piece of perfection!
Again, Isabelle, wondrous, amazing and gorgeous! I am forever grateful for your generosity!

Block #5

Well -- half of what is noted as block #5 on the pattern, that is. It is the same block, just done twice , but used in separate areas of the quilt. I still have the second one to put together. (Those dar areas around the chick are just where the fabric is damp from removing the washable marker.)
Isabelle had told me she was going to send me a couple of fabrics for my Rabbits quilt, to add to the collection I had. This was so I would have plenty to choose from for all the different applique pieces. This is definitely not what I would call a "couple." Thank you so much, Isabelle!
