Birds and more Birds

Funny....I did not realize until I was going to take a few progress pictures....all I have been making the past week are: birds.
My Partridge ornament from Esther Aliu's Twelve Days of Christmas design.

My second large bird from the third block on Hatched and Patched In My Garden.
My bird for the top portion of the second block of Berries and Bluebirds from Gail Pan Designs.
With the basket of funny blooms thrown in there, too, also from In My Garden.
Still another to come...the bottom portion of the third block from B&B also has another bird, which I am working on now.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving...lots of family, food and fun.  Now we are in full swing towards Christmas!  Won't be long now!

Flowerpots

Lots of little flowerpots on Part 5 of Castles in the Air.  Both peacocks from Part 4 are done, which makes the entire Part 4 complete.  This picture of Part 5 still needs the remaining Rhodes stitches in the last few flowerpots, plus between those arches are some large woven leaves.

A little closer look at the very majestic peacock. (I am the only one...have you noticed how many new designs have peacocks in them?)

Daylight Savings Time today (well, last night).  Now it will be so much brighter in the mornings!
Before we know it, it will be Easter!

Birdies

Peacocks, to be exact.  My peacocks from Papillon Creations Castles in the Air....One done and one - well, almost done. :)  It won't be too long until that second one is complete!

I really like those little tiny fuschia flowers, too.  All lazy daisy stitches!

Halfway

More Castles.....I worked on the next part which has the two railings, the fountain, the two vines with tons of lazy daisy flowers and two gorgeous peacocks.  I guess I am about halfway there.  I used a metallic thread for the water in the fountain rather than the plain white thread indicated on the chart.

That brownish "arch" at the top is from the next part.

Thanks to all of you for coming by to pay me a visit.  I thoroughly enjoy reading your comments. :)

F O R E V E R ... ... ...

At least that's how it seems.  Finally, yes, finally, the last woven wheel stitch is done!  Take a look at an oldie...Papillon Creations, Castles in the Air mystery sampler....Part 3 complete!  There are several more parts that have been released (which have some beautiful peacocks!).  This part just wore me out with all the specialty stitches and trying to follow the directions.  But...it is done!  Onto Part 4!  I do find all these stitches and color changes very busy,  I am hoping the next part with the peacocks and railings will help "confine" all the fussiness.
