"They say it's your birthday!"

(from the Beatles Birthday song).  Not quite, but almost, my birthday, that is....in a few days.  But...lots of early gifts from my wonderful friend, Isabelle.  First - look at all the great fabrics....some of those gorgeous Japanese ones!  Some nice silk threads in two of my favorite colors - red and purple!  Some Au Ver a Soie silk ribbon and a pretty little painted metal rose hook....I think this one will hold a pretty little towel.:)

And....drumroll, please....look at the beautiful bag she made for me.  Notice the little buttons...cute little bears, a sheep and cow!  And how about that silver heart key ring?  Everything is so pretty....I think this bag is going to be for one of my special WIP's. :)  Thank you, again, my friend!

OK, I lied....

sorry 'bout that.  I was going to post my pictures yesterday, but got totally distracted with something new.  It's that SADD kicking in again...you know...Stitcher's Attention Deficit Disorder...;)  But, first here at least is a picture of the All Cooped Up quilt top...and, no, I didn't press it...sorry.  It is hanging by magnets on my closet doors in the bedroom.
And my Snowbound quilt top (although incomplete) was left at Bears Paw Fabrics.  The owner is interested in making a model for her shop and wanted to use mine for some ideas.  It'll be home soon, ready for the new block on the 5th of next month. :)

But I started a fun, new project....I initially was going to make one for a friend of mine as a gift.  She collects anything and everything snowmen related.  It is a snowman Advent calendar.  Too cute.  So after buying the needed felt at Bears Paw yesterday, I came home and traced a lot of snowballs. Since I decided to also make one for myself...50 snowballs to be exact...plus 50 linings for the snowballs and 50 little, tiny snowmen heads as well as cutting 50 little scarfs for these chilly guys. :)  Here's a link to the finished product  :Chilly Willies (my nickname for these little guys).
Here's a picture of my 50 little snowballs with the embroidery started for all the numbers:

And, now onto all the blanket stitching and embroidery!

No pictures, but...

It's time to "crow!"  My Mckenna Ryan "All "Cooped Up" quilt top is done!  Cock-a-doodle-doo!!  Pictures tomorrow...it will be making a little trip with me tomorrow, then it really needs to be nicely pressed.

And...my Snowbound snowmen are together...those that are done anyway.  Three complete rows of those cuties....(they will be going with the roosters tomorrow, too!)

All updates tomorrow!

The neighborhood grows

My first block for Tiny Town is done!  It looks a bit crooked in the picture, but it it is straight. I guess it was just the way it was on the table.  I think I am caught up with my BOM's (Blocks of the Month) quilt projects...well, except for Baltimore Halloween.  I have decided I really do not like the background fabric that was provided.  So, I kept putting off doing the blocks.  I have only completed three, but I think I am going to redo them all on different fabric....maybe a nice Halloweeny purple!

I started working on my Baroque Gardens again last night and finished the outer border for Part 2.  Now for all the vines and flowers!

Crows

Crows and an acorn!  Another block for Bears Paw Fabrics for the Enchanted Autumn quilt.  I like how the acorn turned out on this one.  I have another one to finish up...this one with three stacked pumpkins in an urn. :)

New Neighborhood

My first house in the new neighborhood of Tiny Town (a little squished from the scanner), Bunny Hill Designs.  Lots more little houses to come in the first block.

Here is the top of Block #8 for Le Jardin, three pretty hearts:and...
my three penguins from the Friends for Christmas quilt.  These three guys were supposed to be wearing crowns a la the Three Kings bearing gifts.  But, I really did not like the fabric that was used, nor the actual idea of the crowns.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who pays me a visit.  Thanks for your wonderful comments and support.:)

White Pumpkins

White Pumpkins!  This is a portion of the third block I appliqued for Bears Paw Fabrics.  The vine continues with a few more additonal leaves on either sides of the pumpkins.  Since I used my scanner for this picture, this is the portion that fit on the scanner bed. :)

Now I am off to work on a few of the newest projects for which I received the kits.  My latest Le Jardin block...the first block for Tiny Town...and to finish up my three penguins for my Friends for Christmas quilt.

Enchanted Autumn

A crow, an acorn and a pumpkin block for Enchanted Autumn by Verna Mosquera . Enchanted Autumn   It will still require some embroidery for the pumpkin vines.  I put this one together at the request of  Bears Paw Fabrics.  This is the first one I chose to do the applique.

The second is an oakleaf motif.  There are four of these spread throughout the quilt. I chose this one.
I still have one more block to applique.  This one is a bit larger with some pumpkin vines, large leaves and pumpkins.
Fabrics and pattern chosen by Bears Paw Fabrics.:)

Another cutie!!

Ta Da!!  Block #7 of Bunny Hill's Snowbound quilt.  This freebie quilt year is already up to 7 months!  I am going to miss it when it's all finished.

Part 1 is finished!!

Really wrinkled, but I am going to continue working on Part 2.  Here is Part 1 of Baroque Gardens and Castles by Martina Rosenberg (Weber) from Chatelaine Designs.  This is the top center portion:I did not add the center crystal, as I found a "charm" that I am going to use instead.  I will probably attach it at the end, so that I don't damage it during the two years that this one is going to take to complete all the parts.:))

Block #7

Finished attaching the little button for the door and the bunny's eye this morning!
BLOCK 7(B)

The little heart flowerpots are my favorite part on this block. :)
