A little of this. A little of that.

A litle bit of wool felt, some new fabrics for my Born to Quilt project (still in the planning stages) and lots of teeny, tiny buttons, as well as some pretty blue heart buttons.

About face..

with a little bit of cross stitch again.  Letters from Nora, U, the little fairy herself and a portion of the "U."  And ....the wings are already done (I seem to always leave those for last, which tends to make it a lot slower for me to finish the piece)   I am still working on my quilting projects, too...just took a little break from them all yesterday to work on this little girl. :)

Whee!

It's done!  Le Jardin's last block was completed on Sunday.  I added the outer borders after joining all the blocks together yesterday.DONE!

It turned out to be quite large, and yes, I know you have the dimensions to start with, but actually seeing how big it is, is a different story!

Now a new Block of the Month (BOM) will take it's place next month!  Merry Christmas to All:  take a peek.  This one has a ton of embellishments...ribbons, buttons galore, bells, etc.Merry Christmas to All

GLIMPSES

Lots and lots of what I have been working on these past few days....first ~ these are some of the fabrics I have chosen for my new project, Born to Quilt.  All blues, I know...I do have other fabrics for this one, too.  Somehow I seem to neglect to buy "blues" when buying fabrics.  So a small stack of some new ones for this cute new project.
Second ~ Bent Creek's Halloween Branch.  See?  Here's that cute little owl...some words....a ghost....a spider, too.

My block for Friends for Christmas with the 3 Friends.....the reindeer still needs his antlers stitched, as well as the finishing on his legs.  The little bird is just taking a rest for now.  She will get attached very soon, too. :)All three friends, together...
The newest block arrived for my Tiny Town Block of the Month....just a few glimpses of this one...still in progress.  I added some pretty blue ric-rac to the edge of the house.
The little house as well as the garage that is placed next to it on the block.

Whew!  After looking at all of these pictures, I guess I have been busy, after all!  :))

Lovin' these bunnies!

My third bunny - inside the cabbage or lettuce (I'm not sure which).  I love the little radishes on this one.
BLOCK 3

Thanks for stopping by! :o))

Halloween

Well....seeing that Halloween designs are one of my favorites...there was no way I could pass up the new "Branch" from Bent Creek.  A Halloween Branch!  I bought the first chart...the fabric...and all the threads yesterday during my visit to The Stitching Post with Carol. (She got this one, too!)  When I came home and was looking at everything on the table...something came over me and made me just start it right away!
My progress from yesterday afternoon, evening and this morning.
Halloween Branch WIP
What actually made me get this one was the cute little owl who will soon be sitting on that branch.  An owl with a little witch's hat!

3 Friends

Well, I should have said "two" friends.  "Three Friends" is the name of this block. There are three characters for this block from the Friends for Christmas quilt.  A penguin, a snowman, and a long-legged reindeer. :)  I have two of them attached for now.
3 friends (WIP)

There will also be a small star block in upper left-hand corner, as well as a stocking, a birdhouse and a little birdie.

Block #8

Here he is!  My little snowguy for Block #8 for the Snowbound Block of the Month by Bunny Hill Designs.  Too cute with his little red wagon.  I added something a little different, just an experiement really to see if I liked it or not....he has popcorn trim on his scarf.  Something new instead of the fringe I occasionally add.

Baltimore Bunnies

When I first saw this pattern, it was the one that got my heart racing and thinking...."It's time to start quilting again," (after a very long hiatus).  It is Baltimore Bunnies by Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs.  I have always liked the Baltimore Album quilts, but would never have considered making one.  However, when I saw Anne's vesion with the little bunnies...well...it was love at first sight.  But I did not start this one right away.  It was quite intimidating to think about all those little applique leaves, the skinny, skinny bias binding for the stems and the tiny, pieces involved in completing this quilt.  Now with a few pieces of applique "under my belt", so to speak...I started it.  Here is my first block on my Baltimore Bunnies:
BLOCK 1(A)

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the birthday wishes.  Another year!  They sure are flying by so fast now. :))

Lots of Birthday Goodies!

Whoo Hoo!!  More lovely presents in the mail!  How lucky am I?    There is a great project book for felt...I love the Christmas house pattern in this one.  A little kitty notepad and two very pretty ribbons - one with ladybugs (my favorite) and one with butterflies, which is very light and delicate.  And...crystals for the Baroque Garden I am working on by Chatelaine Designs.  :)) Almost forgot the little white ribbon roses! Everything just made me smile. :))  BUT this

made me smile even more:
What a wonderful pincushion....check out those little prairie points!  Aren't they great?  And the little pink flowers, too!  Anne Marieke made this for me.  It is a bit difficult to see, but the pretty pink button in the center has little flowers that match the embroidered ones.Beatufiul work, Anne Marieke; thank you!  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for all your thoughtful gifts.

Six Geese A Laying WIP

My small beginning on Nora Corbett's Twelve Days of Christmas for day six.  A pretty little goose with lots of eggs surrounding her. :)

A little cross stitch again....just a little break from the quilting projects for a bit.  Don't worry - not too long.  All those BOM's will be arriving soon! :)

I want to thank everyone for stopping by to take a  peek at what I am doing. You know there is always something going on around here.:)
