A Peek

at the borders for my A Tisket, A Tasket quilt.....I put the inner borders and squares together after finishing the December block yesterday afternoon. ISn't the little snowlady cute?

I have to purchase more fabric for the outer border. The piece I have is too small, but I know this fabric is still available (thank goodness!)

For the first time ever, I had a piece of fabric bleed when I went to rinse out the water soluble marker (see that dark green candy cane?). This was an older fabric that I had...plus it is a Jinny Beyer fabric....so I was really surprised when I had blue/breen halos around it! Talk about panic....but then I did what everyone recommended when your DMC floss bleeds, soaked it and soaked it in cold water. There is still a very light halo effect around it, but it will be quilted around there, so will look more diminished.

Very cute snowlady! And the bleeding of the green is almost invisible; I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't mentioned it. Lovely colours you choose for the sashings. Did you get any sleep last week?! Has this to be finihed before Christmas?

You're on the home stretch now. That is too bad about that fabric, but at least you've made it almost invisible. I don't think that anyone is going to notice because the quilt is so pretty. Can't wait to see the total unveiling.

The snowlady looks lovely~
Add me to the people who didn't notice the bleeding until you pointed it out.
I have to admit those are some really groovy candy canes!

Your snowlady is just cute and your block too :-))
In fact, I can tell you we don't see very well the halo : it is just a subtle halo :-))
